Thanksgiving Delivered to Neighbors in Need
Date Posted: 11-17-09
As Thanksgiving draws near, so does the need for a holiday feast for approximately one hundred families and elderly in Weston.  Weston Social Services will provide Thanksgiving baskets for these neighbors with the help of the Weston Women's League, whose members will gather and assemble forty baskets.  The League is asking for your help to provide additional food donations.  Emmanuel Church, St. Francis, the Boy Scots and other town organizations are also coordinating food drives for the baskets.  There is a donation box listing desired items at Peter's Market near the exit.  When shopping for your holiday, consider making an extra purchase for the League's donation box.  The food collection will last through Sunday, November 22nd.  Those interested in making donations can do so at Peter's Market or can contact Stacey Tucker at 203-246-8797.
